涉县位于河北省西南部,太行山东麓,冀、晋、豫三省七县（市）交界处。县域面积1509平方公里,辖1个街道办事处、17个乡（镇）、5个城区社区居委会、308个行政村,总人口42万。涉县历史悠久,文化灿烂。汉始置县,已有2000多年历史,属千年古县。娲皇宫是全国建筑规模最大、肇建时间最早、影响地域最广的祀奉中华始祖女娲的古建筑群,被誉为＂华夏祖庙＂,涉县被命名为＂中国女娲文化之乡＂。
