The new process of extracting high-purity tea polyphenols by using ultrafiltration membrane-ion precipitation method, invented by Jiang Yuanli, associate professor of Zhengzhou University of Technology, passed the experts appraisal organized by Henan Science and Technology Commission in Zhengzhou recently. Tea polyphenols are tea-based polyphenols, and their content in tea is generally 12%-35%. It is a natural food antioxidant that has emerged in recent years in the world. Tea polyphenols have broad application prospects in the fields of oils, foods, medicines, and daily chemicals. At present, the extraction of tea polyphenols at home and abroad is mainly based on solvent method and precipitation method.
