Most people who have been to or have not been here know that it is one of the most profound cultural sites in Beijing and even China. It is famous for its four treasures and antiques collections. It originated in the Qing Dynasty when most of the people who came to Beijing for the imperial examination at that time were concentrated in this area. Therefore, more books were sold here, and more ink-and-ink shops were sold, forming a thick cultural atmosphere. Until now it is still one of Beijing’s most famous cultural street, still retains the old share of thick book incense ink.
