位于北京牛街附近的法源寺,是北京最古老的名刹之一。它创建于唐贞观十九年(645)。唐太宗东征,为悼念阵亡将士,在幽州城之东南,建悯忠寺于此。“靖康之耻”时,宋钦宗赵桓被金兵掳至燕京,曾囚于此。明正统二年(1437)重修时改名为崇福寺。清雍正十一年(1735)改建后名法源寺。该寺石刻碑记和藏经甚多,院内古木参天,故不仅以历史悠久称著,其文物丰富也令人刮目相看。 Fayuan Temple, located near Beijing Niujie, is one of the oldest temples in Beijing.
