学术资本主义的产生是政府迫使大学逐利的外部压力与大学必须服务社会经济发展的内在规律双重驱动的结果.它的兴起对大学的影响主要表现在五个方面:即教师角色由"学者"转向"创业者";课程设置轻"人文社科"重"理工商科";招生开始"争学额,招海外生";行政权力由"集中"变为"分散";科研方面重"应用研究"轻"基础研究"等.为应对政治经济全球化,在"不可不变又不可盲交"的局势下,探究国外学术资本主义对大学变革之影响及其经验教训,对我国当代大学的发展有重要的启示意义.
