Objective To investigate the relationship between cord blood lead levels and the content of lead and lead in neonatal umbilical cord blood and neurobehavioral development in low intrauterine exposure of lead. Methods A total of 170 full-term newborns were born in Nanjing MCH Hospital from January 2010 to April 2010. The cord blood lead and colostrum lead content as indicators of neonatal lead exposure, neonatal neural behavior (NBNA) development score as an effect index. Results The high exposure group was lower than the low exposure group in total neonatal active muscle tone, primary reflex and neurobehavioral development, with significant difference (t = 4.625, P <0.05). The neonatal performance, passive muscle tension , The general valuation of the difference was not statistically significant. Conclusions Lead levels in colostrum lead and cord blood are related to the early development of infants. Lead can cause newborn lead exposure through milk and umbilical cord blood, which may adversely affect the early neurobehavioral development of newborn infants.
