PEP “compulsory education curriculum standard experimental textbook · Mathematics” (hereinafter referred to as the new mathematics textbook) to teachers brought new concepts, new ideas, new tools. However, due to geographical differences, differences in ethnic cultures, different student backgrounds, textbooks subject to length limitations, it is impossible for every student. Therefore, the use of new materials, require teachers to pay attention to “make good” “use” “use” “use” “use”. “Working well” is based on textbooks; “Living” means emancipating the mind, boldly innovating, showing the hierarchy of thinking, the creativeness of the content of the subject, the exploration of the activity process, the diversity of learning methods and the openness of the learning space; “To be lenient” is to expand and enrich the learning materials and contents. “To be realistic” is to meet the needs of local students and students and close to the students’ lives. “To use the new” is to capture the latest learning information and resources. So how can the rural primary schools with poor teaching conditions make good use of the new teaching materials? The author has got enlightenment from some math classrooms in rural areas and believes that it is better to use elementary mathematics teaching materials from the following aspects.
