英国研制成节约能源节省时间的汽车导航计算机系统

英国公路运输研究试验室近来研制成一套使汽车司机能节约燃料又节省时间的电子计算机导航系统。据专家们初步估计,该套系统投入后,每年可节约能源费用24亿英磅。这套被称为“汽车导航”的电子计算机系统有三大部分组成:中央计算机、埋设在道路边的电子装置及装设在汽车驾驶室里的电子装置。其工作原理大致如下:司机将其现在的位置、去向及到达的终点输入车内的电子装置,这些信息即以无线电信号被译成密码并定向发向埋设在路旁的电子装置;路旁的电子装置里存有关于道路交通状况、气候条件、安全状况等信息资料;中央计算机 The British Road Transport Research Laboratory recently developed a computerized navigation system that saves energy and saves time for car drivers.
