Using slow-varying parameters, time-history analysis and energy analysis methods, the nonlinear dynamic behavior of the lead-rubber shock-absorbing bearing (LRB) was investigated. The results show that LRB has strong nonlinear characteristics. Using LRB can effectively reduce the resonant peak of the system, but it will increase the higher order mode of the system. The rational configuration of LRB can reduce the input of system seismic energy, which is the main reason for LRB damping.
