利用植物基因工程进行果树遗传改良潜力很大,目前已建立有效的转化体系,并在10多种果树作物上获得了转基因植株。转基因包括少数有应用前景的目的基因,如抗虫、抗病毒基因。一些重要果树的控制主要农艺性状的基因图谱已经或正在开始建立。要使基因工程改良果树品种走向实用化,还应在提高转化率和植株再生率、果树主要农艺性状遗传分析及转基因的表达和调控等方面作进一步深入研究
There is great potential for genetic improvement of fruit trees using plant genetic engineering. Currently, an effective transformation system has been established and transgenic plants have been obtained on more than 10 fruit tree crops. Transgenes include a few promising genes of interest, such as insect-resistant, anti-viral genes. The genetic map of some important fruit trees controlling the major agronomic traits has been or is beginning to be established. In order to make genetic engineering fruit tree varieties practical, we should further study on improving transformation rate and plant regeneration rate, genetic analysis of main agronomic traits in fruit trees and the expression and regulation of transgenes
