Popov, radio inventor, is a prominent Russian scholar and educator. He was born on 16 March 1859 in the Tulsihsk village of the Urals, and this is exactly the hundredth anniversary of his birth on March 16 this year. His father is a pastor. Popov boyhood, due to poor family, had to enter the Permsk church school, which was the only free school. After graduating from high school, he arrived in Petersburg in 1877 and studied mathematics at the University of Petersburg. Electrician technology was also a new cutting-edge technology department at that time, and Popov was particularly interested in it. During his student days, he began to study independently and actively participated in the re-establishment of the Russian Institute of Technology electrician team.
