Objective: To investigate the effect of lidocaine glue on esophageal atrial pacing discomfort in patients. Methods: Ninety-six patients undergoing esophageal atrial pacing were randomly divided into two groups. One group received intranasal drip of lidocaine glue, swallowed and lubricated the pharynx, and anesthetized the nasopharynx and esophagus. The other group was given the usual method without lidocaine glue. RESULTS: Patients who received lidocaine gum had significantly less discomfort during esophageal atrial pacing. CONCLUSION: Lidocaine glue can cause local anesthesia on the throat and esophagus through mucosal absorption and relieve pain and discomfort caused by intubation and pacing in patients. Conducive to the wider application of TEAP technology.
