戏剧要求高度集中。一切戏外的东西,都会成为枝蔓和赘疣。记得契诃夫说过:如果第一幕房间里挂了一枝枪,那么最迟到第三幕它就得放响,否则就不必出现。可见,优秀剧作家绝不允许自己作品里有丝毫多余之物,哪怕是一件道具。但若干成功的剧作中,又的确有些看来似乎是无关闳旨的“闲笔”,甚至是“闲人”;戏剧中居然能够出现“闲人”,好象不可思议,其实,这些看上去貌似“闲人”的人,正是契诃夫所指的那种挂在墙上的“枪”,到时候却是会放响的。信手拈来,试举几例。
