In 2002, the first year after China officially acceded to the WTO, the domestic automobile market was unprecedentedly active. A large number of new cars were launched one after another, automobile production rose steadily and sales records kept refreshing. With the opportunity brought by the worldly life, China’s automobile industry has taken advantage of the capital and technology of the international automobile industry to realize the great convergence between domestic enterprises and international enterprises as well as domestic enterprises. The development of automobile industry has achieved a great leap forward. From 1999 to 2002, the average annual growth rate of sales revenue of China’s automobile manufacturing industry reached 24.27%, higher than the growth rate of the sales revenue of all industrial products over the same period of 10.31%.
