The grating-oriented task is used to investigate whether there is a mirror image shift in the visual perception learning about the 45 ° diagonal symmetry. Training subjects to resolve 15 ° or 75 ° towards 3 or 5d, about 1h per day, before and after training to measure the resolution of 15 °, 75 °, 45 ° orientation threshold. By training, the threshold of the training heading (15 ° or 75 °) is decreased, the learning effect does not migrate to the 45 ° orientation, but basically shifts to the orientation (75 ° or 15 °) about the 45 ° symmetry. This suggests that visual perception learning may occur in the middle visual cortex, which has both direction-specificity and mirror-image symmetry with respect to 45 ° diagonal.
