以往的主题词研究主要关注词汇之间的差异,却忽略了词汇共性体现出来的语域特征。本研究将语料库语言学的主题词分析法扩展到主题概念,以英文摘要中的正向主题概念为研究对象(positive key concept),利用UCREL USAS语义分析系统提取了科技论文英文摘要语料库的所有正向主题概念,即英文摘要语料库比通用语料库超用的具有显著意义的语义概念,然后对这些核心语义概念进行了深入分析,归纳了信息类、组织类、评价类三大类主题概念,构建出英文摘要核心语义系统的三维空间。接下来考察了每个类别里具有典型意义的通用主题概念,并从纵深的语步维度和横向的跨学科维度探讨了主题概念在分布上的差异性。研究发现,这三大类主题概念在句法、语义和语用功能上都有各自的特点,在不同语步和学科的分布也存在明显差异,从而证实了主题概念分析法在语体变异研究中的重要角色。主题概念分析法可以使关注点从词汇差异性研究转向词汇共性研究,构建出特定语篇的核心语义框架,为学术英语的语义研究提供崭新的视角。 In the past, the research of thematic keywords mainly focused on the differences among the words, but neglected the register features reflected in the common vocabulary.
