Since the early 1990s, the term “civilization”, as the core of more than two centuries of academic discourse about “civilization ”, has undergone extraordinary changes and assumed the political and ideological not suited to it Morphological functions. These changes are embodied in the political-ideological formations known as the “clash of civilizations” and the “dialogue among civilizations,” both containing a “civilized discourse” that in many ways serves as an alternative academic discourse “. This article first aims to reveal the structural and thematic differences between the academic ”civilized discourse“ and its popular alternative ”civilized discourse.“ Second, the article hopes to prove how ”the clash of civilizations“ and the ”dialogue among civilizations“ complement each other on the basis of their methodology and ideology, despite the fact that their antagonism is highly publicized. Third, the purpose of this article is to highlight the real political process that takes place in our world. It reveals itself through alternative ”civilized discourses“ and makes use of alternative ”civilized discourses" as part of its modus operandi. The article links these processes with the victory of capitalism at the end of the 20th century and the rise of the dictatorship project.
