传统意义上的新闻信息从有新闻史起就打上了阶级、阶层等党派性烙印,在传播过程中始终遵循由信源到信宿单向流动的过程,受众在传播渠道中始终处于被动地接收信息的信息接收者地位。当人类进入到21世纪,微博的问世打破了政治、经济上占优势地位的阶级、阶层在新闻信息传播过程中的主导地位,新闻信息不再是由信息源打上党派性烙印后经过机构性大众媒介流向信宿的单向流动过程,普通民众既是受众也是新闻信息的发布者,享有对新闻信息传播的平等地位。微博的出现把中国的新闻信息传播推入空前的民主化里程。
