From the very beginning of the first U.S. merchant shipping to the Far East in the 1880s to make huge profits, American businessmen actively engaged in the Far East trade with a strong sense of adventure. Early American businessmen, most of whom were struggling to make their way through turbulent waves by their tenacity and simple small sailboat, crossed the Cape of Good Hope in South Africa, crossed the Indian Ocean and finally arrived in Guangzhou, China. They sold their flesh and traveled Europe , Mauritania and India for a long time to obtain high profits. However, the market changes and the shipwreck caused the early trade to be full of risks. It was not until the 1830s that the major firms mastered most of the trade and the early adventitious Far East trade gradually became history.
