广东省是我国α地中海贫血高发地区之一,作者曾对有α地中海贫血特征者11例,从新生儿期追踪观察至8月~11/2岁,发现多数患者有轻度贫血和红细胞形态学不同程度的改变,临床难以与体内缺铁所致的红细胞生成缺铁期和缺铁性贫血相鉴别。本文目的在观察红细胞内游离原卟啉含量变化对α地中海贫血特征的诊断及其与缺铁性贫血的鉴别诊断意义。
