2002年,杭州市萧山区跨湖桥遗址发现距今8000年前独木舟,表明中国是世界上最早制造船舶的国家之一,从而浙江省余姚市河姆渡遗址出土7000年前陶船模逐渐被人关注。中国作为世界船模古国,船模用于当作小样来制造实船,也用于祭祀、殉葬等。目前,随着国内木船厂的转行、关闭,最后一批造船工匠以及船模制作者的情况怎样,在“一带一路”建设海洋强国的背景下,国家级海事博物馆建设方兴未艾,船模业该如何发展,均需要理性探讨。
