一、研制无线闭塞系统英国铁路在运量不大的边远铁路区段,一直采用凭证行车制。由于恶劣气候,尤其是暴风雪的影响,架空线路常常被损坏,不仅延误行车,而且使维修费用增加。1977年冬,特大暴风雪大约损坏65km 架空线路,促使英国铁路以无线通信技术取代架空线路,研制了无线闭塞系统。这种系统成本较低,能满足安全要求,在国际铁路界引起极大兴趣。
