托尔斯泰认为写作是秘密的,而萨特则认为写作并无什么秘密可谈。托翁既然认为写作是秘密的,那么就不可能揭密;萨翁认为写作无秘密可谈,那么就产生了两个判断:秘密和不秘密,萨翁的旋动空间比较大。这些秘密和不秘密,根性的原因就出在单词上。无论是英语还是俄语,抑或汉语,它们最小的意义都在单词上。汉赋、唐诗、宋词、元曲和明清小说,它们的组成就是汉词,汉词这其间或在发明之时,就贯满了文学的名种属性。它多元、立体和普遍。朱光潜说:
