[Objective] To study the effect of chitooligosaccharides plant growth regulators on the growth and secondary metabolites of Salvia mitiorrhiza Bge.. [Method] Seed-dressed and foliar-sprayed with different concentrations of oligochitosan plant growth regulator, the growth of Salvia mitiorrhiza Bge. and the accumulation of its secondary metabolites tanshinone IIA were observed. [Result] The content of tanshinone IIA and the growth of Salvia mitiorrhiza Bge.were significantly improved by chitooligosaccharides plant growth regulator with optimum concentration. [Conclusion] The study was of great value and significance to expose the formation and accumulation mechanism of oligochitosan plant growth regulators on active ingredient, improve the theoretical and technological system for the quality regulation of Chinese herbal medicines and the cultivation of medicinal plants, establish standardized cultivation techniques of high-quality Salvia mitiorrhiza Bge., and promote the standardized and qualified cultivation of Chinese medicinal herbs.
