During the Qin and Han dynasties, bureaucratic aristocrats, tyrannical landlords, and wealthy merchants led by the royal family were the socially corrupt parasitic stratums. The vast majority of the working people were the mainstay of social production and the creators of material wealth and spiritual wealth. The feudal relations of production determine that the social consumption of the two dominant social classes shows different conditions and characteristics, namely, the antithesis of the decadent and extravagant parasitic consumption of the landlord class and the limited consumption of the working people. We can fully prove the actual consumption status in the most basic aspects of people’s social life such as diet, apparel, residential gardens and marriage and funeral. The antagonism of the two opposing classes in the Qin and Han dynasties on social consumption had a far-reaching impact on the development of social history in the Qin and Han Dynasties
