“意象”这个概念从一个诗学概念,变成一个美学概念,然后成为一个艺术概念,经历漫长的岁月。“意象”绘画可以被用于指称中国当前一些重要的艺术创作的原因也因为经历这漫长的岁月,“意象”这个概念在不断的讨论中逐渐丰满起来。我们回过头来看,现代汉语中“意象”概念便有了三个来源,第一个是对于西方意象派诗学中image的汉语翻译;第二个对于古代诗学中“意”和“象”的现代化解读;第三个便是对于艺术创作当中“抽象”与“具象”的一种折中化要求。
