The high-precision pulse front discriminating circuit described in this article has been successfully tested in March 1982. It can instantaneously discriminate the leading edge width of the pulse whose pulse amplitude and pulse interval are randomly changing to determine the trade-off of the pulse. For example, in Figure 1, b, d is less than 0.2 microseconds ahead of the decision, and a, c of the front is greater than 0.3 microseconds and decide. This instantaneous identification circuit, commonly known as the waveform discriminator. In nuclear physics, it can be used to determine the type of radioactive particles to improve the performance of the detector.
