据1994年1至9月份全国各大型百货商场主要仿、纤织品的销售统计,纺织类、针织类和服装类分别比去年同期上升了50%、40%和25%。这个上升幅度为历年所少有。牵动这一上升局面的主要品种有:纯毛织物、棉毛衫裤、内衣裤、皮革制品、床上用品、衬衣和各种裤子。形成了贵重、耐用的衣着用品与日常用品齐头并进的格局。上升幅度较大的另一个因素是消费者购买的品种普遍单价较高,加上物价上涨的烘托。显得格外引人注目。同时由于消费者自身素质的提高,没有出现抢购和盲目购买的现象,所以会把销售高潮区间拉得较长。自93年下半年起大约要持续2—3年的时间。95年上半年仍会保持较高的上升趋势。94年全年纺织品市场销售总额比上年预期提高25%至30%。95年则会保持这个增长势头。
