March 22, 2002 was the first day of the Tenth World Water Day and the fifteenth China Water Week. Ministries such as the Ministry of Water Resources, the State Economic and Trade Commission, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Construction, and the State Environmental Protection Administration held in Beijing. The commemoration conference analyzed and reported the severe situation of the current use of water resources in China, and proposed that in the future the contradiction between supply and demand of water in China will become more and more prominent.
