西方油画寻求表现的冲击力量,渴望“前卫、张扬”;而中国五千年文明追求的却是“中庸之道”、讲究“内敛”。中国人对“合适”与“正确”判断标准其实是一种“中庸”标准。孔子称之为一种最高的德性。中庸,恪守中道,坚持原则,不偏不倚,无过无不及,在处理矛盾时善于执两用中,折中致和,追求中正,中和,稳定,和谐。并且随时以处中,因时制宜,与时俱进。当代中国油画大师,在吸收西方绘画之长外,创作有侧重于东方华丽的唯美倾向作品。以下就从中庸角度出发,谈油画的传承与发展。
