In recent years, it has been found that soil-less sulfides such as SrS and CaS may be better matrix materials for color film electroluminescence (TFEL). An important and necessary characteristic to achieve a matrix display with a large number of cells and high brightness is the inherent memory effect observed in ZnS: Mn TFEL devices. Until now, however, there have been only a few reports on memory effects in TFEL devices. This article reports the inherent memory effect of SrS: Ce, K blue TFEL devices.
