在西安碑林和镇江博物馆内,分别保存着一通宋代《禹迹图》石刻。这两通石刻的《禹迹图》,是我国现存最早的石刻地图之一。它的最珍贵之处,在于图上满布了方格,是已发现的最早带有数学基础的全国性地图。国际著名科技史学者李约瑟称赞它是中国“宋代制图学家的一项最大成就”,“在当时是世界上最杰出的地图”。对这两通《禹迹图》石刻,曹婉如同志和刘建国同志已分别作过介绍和研究,兹不赘述。本文欲就《禹迹图》的作者谈一点不同意
Within the Beilin and Zhenjiang Museums in Xi’an, there are separately preserved stone carvings of the “Yu Trace” in the Song Dynasty. The two stone carving “Yu trace”, is one of the earliest existing stone carving map. Its most precious place is that the map is full of squares, which is the earliest discovered national map with mathematical basis. Joseph Needham, an internationally renowned scholar of history in science and technology, praised it as “one of the greatest achievements of the Chinese cartographers in the Song Dynasty” and “the most outstanding map of the world at the time.” The two pass “Yu trace map” stone, Comrade Cao Wanru and Comrade Liu Jianguo have made introductory and research, not to repeat them. This article does not agree with the author of “Yu Trace”
