本文叙述了一种独特的介质天线罩的设计与制造。这种天线罩不仅可提供环境保护,而且还能准确地将25000个无源相位延迟模件置于其表面上。该天线罩的直径为113英寸,高为99英寸,内蒙皮上连接106条圆形棱边作为模件的定位沟槽。研制了一种新式工装,即用一种廉价的“易碎”的熟石膏模制造圆顶。最后制成的部件符合全部尺寸要求,其重量仅有330磅。
This article describes the design and manufacture of a unique dielectric radome. This radome not only provides environmental protection, but also accurately places 25,000 passive phase delay modules on its surface. The radome has a diameter of 113 inches and a height of 99 inches. The inner skin has 106 circular edges attached to it as locating slots for the module. A new tooling has been developed that uses a low-cost “brittle” plaster cast dome. The finished part meets all size requirements and weighs only 330 pounds.
