８０种中药抑菌结果显示，淋球菌对大蒜、千里光、黄柏、黄连、虎杖高度敏感，对大黄、五味子、地榆、黄芩、射干、车前草、海桐皮、锦灯笼中度敏感，对龙葵、地耳草低度敏感。在敏感的１５种中药中，１３种具有清热、解毒、燥湿等功能，与中医对淋病的治则颇为吻合，为中医药治疗淋病提供了一定的科学依据。
80 kinds of traditional Chinese medicine antibacterial results showed that Neisseria gonorrhoeae garlic, Senecio, Phellodendron, Coptis, Polygonum cuspidatum highly sensitive to rhubarb, Schisandra, Burnet, Scutellariae, Shegan, Plantain, Pittosporum, Kam lantern moderately sensitive, Solanum nigrum, low sensitivity. Of the 15 sensitive traditional Chinese medicines, 13 have the functions of clearing away heat, detoxifying and dampness, which are quite consistent with the treatment of gonorrhea by Chinese medicine and provide some scientific evidences for the treatment of gonorrhea by Chinese medicine.
