In summer, in the hilly valley plain area of Zhejiang Province, the end of the annual plum rains, that is, into the summer, the climate is hot, many vegetables under the threat of high temperatures, the normal growth and development, often low yield, poor quality, affecting income. However, in the vast mountainous regions, the temperature in summer is relatively low. In general, the altitude increases by 100 meters and the temperature drops by 0.6 ° C. Such as Siming mountain area 500 ~ 700 meters above sea level, July to August the average temperature of only 24 ~ 26 ℃, ideal for tomato growth. In recent years, the meteorological department of our province, in collaboration with relevant departments, takes full advantage of the climatic conditions of “cool summer mountains” and vigorously promotes “mountain vegetables” and has achieved obvious economic benefits. Today, vegetables such as tomatoes, bell peppers, scallops, wild rice and cucumbers have been settled in the mountainous areas of North China, Jinhua in Zhejiang Province, Si Long Mountain in Ningbo, Tianri Mountain in Lin’an, and Wenzhou and Lishui. After hard work, different height sub-strains have been gradually formed, and vegetable production layout system in different seasons.
