Yinshan Rock Carving is one of the most representative quintessences in the culture of the Loop. It records the working life scenes of the ancestors in ancient times and reflects the social practices, religious beliefs, psychological activities and the natural surroundings. In the existing research of Yinshan rock carvings, most of them mainly focus on their distribution area, theme content, production techniques and art forms, but rare on the purpose of their creation. Taking the auspicious elements of Yinshan rock carving as the breakthrough point, this paper tries to find out many impressions of the early state of human existence in northern China from three aspects: reproductive worship, worshiping gods and praying for good fortune.
