The experts’ answers to this question are not exactly the same. However, there is a rather common view that at least for the last ten or so years visible, the only truly affordable science that can take the lead, or indeed the one that can take the lead, is only e-science (including, of course, microelectronics )! Perhaps it is for this reason that many cities and regions in our country regard the electronics industry as the “pilot industry” of the city and district.
