Objective To observe the anesthetic effect of articaine epinephrine injection and lidocaine hydrochloride injection in mandibular impacted wisdom tooth extraction. Methods A total of 178 patients with impacted mandibular wisdom teeth were randomly divided into two groups. Group A (n = 91) received local anesthesia with bupivacaine and group B (n = 87) received lidocaine hydrochloride block anesthesia. The VAS score and the incidence of adverse reactions in the two groups were compared. Results A total of 13 patients (14.3%) in group A had added epinephrine adrenergic during operation, 74 patients had complete painless VAS score (81.3%), 29 (33.3% ) Patients had lidocaine supplemented. Fifty-one (58.6%) patients had complete painless VAS score during operation. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P <0.01). No serious adverse reactions occurred in either group. Conclusion Atiacine epinephrine local anesthesia in the mandibular impacted wisdom teeth removal anesthesia is better than lidocaine hydrochloride, no obvious adverse reactions.
