Objective To explore the impact of pre-training mental health factors and sleep quality factors on recruits training performance. Methods A total of 500 recruits were recruited as study subjects. Symptom Checklist-90 (SCL-90) and Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI) were used to assess the participants’ Mental health status and sleep quality. During the third week of training, six military training programs were selected for evaluation. The differences of SCL-90 and PSQI between the two groups were analyzed. Results The results showed that the scores of SCL-90 and partial scores of SCL-90 in push-ups were higher than those in unqualified scores (P <0.05 or P <0.01) There was no significant difference between 90 scores and all factors (P> 0.05). There was no significant difference between PSQI and 7 scores in all test items (P> 0.05). Conclusion Pre-training mental health status of recruits training have a certain impact.
