国家自然科学基金重大项目“视觉信息加工”研究为期四年,由中国科学院生物物理研究所、生理研究所和中国科学技术大学生物系共同承担。项目内容包括中脑视觉神经回路中的信息加工,胼胝体传递视觉信息的特征,蜜蜂模式识别及平行加工机理研究,视觉信息加工中空间-时间相互作用及其神经机制的研究,视觉感受野空间相互作用与复杂图象的加工处理,视觉图象识别中眼动图象特征抽提作用的研究,和视觉信息处理中基本神经网络的算法理论描述等七个课题,现已圆满完成任务。研究者围绕着中枢视觉信息加工这一核心问题,应用多种技术,在神经回路、生理机制和理论模型等方面都取得了重要进展。本文简要介绍此项研究提出的背景,所取得的主要学术进展及其理论意义,以及作者的体会和建议。
National Natural Science Foundation of major projects “Visual Information Processing” for a period of four years by the Chinese Academy of Sciences Institute of Biophysics, Institute of Physiology and Chinese University of Science and Technology Department of Biology shared. The project includes information processing in the visual nerve circuit of the midbrain, features of visual information transmitted by the corpus callosum, research on mechanism of bee pattern recognition and parallel processing, research on space-time interaction and its neural mechanism in visual information processing, visual perception of wild space The processing and processing of complex images, the research on the feature extraction of eye moving images in visual image recognition, and the algorithm theory description of basic neural network in visual information processing. Now the task has been successfully completed. Researchers focus on the core issue of central visual information processing, applying a variety of techniques, made important advances in neural circuits, physiological mechanisms and theoretical models. This article briefly introduces the background of the study, the main academic progress made and its theoretical significance, as well as the author’s experience and suggestions.
