边疆各民族题材在中围美术界历来受到重视,尤其是新中国成立以来,深入边疆的美术家络绎不绝。国画家郐振明也很好地抓住了这一题材,源自新疆少数民族的艺术灵感催生了他许多优秀的作品,他以饱满的笔墨语言,再现民族风俗的火热场面,表达对传统文明的敬仰之情。新疆多民族题材的绘画创作是中国现代美术的重要组成部分,它体现了多民族的宗教信仰、传统文化、审美意识、民风民俗、居住环境、生活习惯、地域特色、历史发展等。郐振明善于用心去诠释这一空间所蕴涵的艺术与文化特点,去拓展美术的创作语言,展现文化的多元性与丰富性,去传达那份用笔墨描绘出的真挚的民族情怀。
