从本世纪70年代开始,中国矿大以董方庭教授为首的支护研究小组,从研究开巷后围岩的状态入手,做了大量现场观测与科学实验研究工作。提出了围岩破裂过程中的岩方碎胀变形(碎胀力)是支护的主要对象,并把在围岩中发展的这个破裂区定义为围岩松动圈。本文介绍了现场实测数据及室内模型试验的结果,并进而进行了的理论分析研究,最后就支护对象、支护的作用、支护与围岩共同作用原理等的基本观点及现场实践验证的结果,做了扼要的概括。
