在我国,专门用途用语(ESP,English for Specific Purposes)的重要组成部分——需求分析,和ESP课程本身一样,多年以来没有受到应有的重视,但目前学者们普遍认为大学英语改革的大趋势是ESP课程将逐步取代公共英语课程。本文对过去30年来国际上ESP需求分析研究的主要成果进行了回顾,文章首先探讨ESP与需求分析的关系,并对需求分析在ESP课程和公共英语课程中的应用进行了区分,然后较为详细地介绍了需求分析的数据来源、数据收集方法和工具以及具体的分析模式。 In our country, demand analysis, which is an important part of ESP (English for Specific Purposes), has not been given due attention for many years.
