我区国营农场近年来积极研制大型喷灌机。这些喷灌机中,除双悬臂式喷灌机外,其余的平移式喷灌机和时针式喷灌机的塔架都必须实现自走。喷灌机的塔架也都是电动的,由电动机经减速机构驱动行走轮自走。减速比一般都在4000左右。这样大的减速比,如果采用多地柱齿轮传动,必然使得传动机构庞大笨重。在国外,如美国伐利公司则采用两级蜗轮蜗杆减速。但是,蜗轮蜗杆传动对加工精度及装配精度要求较高,而且第一级蜗轮还须采用青铜,否则发热不耐磨。新疆有的团场试图用普通灰铸铁蜗轮来代替青铜蜗轮,结果都不理
