五凤金矿床是延边地区中生代火山岩金、铜成矿带中典型的金矿床,通过对该矿床构造控矿和矿体富集规律的研究,认为断裂构造是控制矿化蚀变带及矿体的主要因素。百草沟—金苍北东东向深断裂带与北西向小延吉河和朝阳河断裂的组合控制火山盆地的产生,为主要的导岩、导矿构造,小延吉河和朝阳河两条断裂的次级北东和北西向断层为主要的容矿构造。断层的交汇、张性断层、产状变化和多期次活动叠加等是控制富矿体的主要因素,依据构造控矿和矿体富集规律可以进行就矿找矿和成矿预测。
