约瑟夫？鲁德亚德？吉卜林（Joseph Rudyard Kipling，1865-1936），生于印度，英国作家、诗人。42岁时获得诺贝尔文学奖。他是英国第一位、也是迄今为止最年轻的诺贝尔文学奖获得者。去年翻拍成电影的《奇幻森林》就是根据他的儿童小说The Jungle Book改编的。
