Peking University frontier interdisciplinary researcher, environmental and health center researcher Huang Wei and others made in Xi’an PM2.5 related epidemiological studies, recently in the world’s top epidemiological journal “American Journal of Epidemiology” published. The study firstly analyzed the corresponding relationship between the change of PM2.5 and its chemical composition and the change of resident’s mortality in our country. It is found that the risk of premature death due to the onset of acute cardiopulmonary disease is also significantly increased when PM2.5 and its key chemical components are increased during winter heating in the northern cities of China.
