  Ancient Women’s Talent and Wisdom
Literary and art works complimentary to women are abundant in the long history of Chinese civilization. Many of the most memorable phrases in the language were coined by poets describing beautiful ladies, who were also the subjects of many great paintings. But most of their footprints across history are similar descriptions or images under an almost unified aesthetic standard of the times.
However, many ancient Chinese women were also talented, witty, and intellectual. During the millennia when men controlled the gates to the wealth of knowledge, many women still left many works of poetry, calligraphy, and craft that convey a clear and unique feminine perspective and wisdom.

  Princesses and Prince Consorts
Princesses, even the dearest daughters of the Chinese emperors, often had little say in their lives. A key component of imperial power, princesses were central to various political rituals. Wedding a princess was a gateway into the vortex of complicated political power struggles. Prince consorts seldom enjoyed happy marriages and were constrained by imperial power and feudal ethics. So, it was not easy for a daughter of the emperor to secure an ideal spouse. The union of a noble princess and humble prince consort was often as fragile as a bubble.

  Reviving Classics
From “Chinese style”to “China-chic,” many new creative takes on traditional culture have emerged and won wide attention and recognition. Traditional culture is rooted deeply in Chinese hearts and circulates through most of their existence.
Generally, there are two types of traditions: classical tradition and modern tradition. Reviewing cultural classics is a method many Chinese choose to get closer to traditions. They also inherit and enrich traditions by producing new cultural creations. Finding ways to resuscitate traditional culture and classics and integrate them into modern life has become a mission for many young Chinese.

  Co-existing with Boredom
The COVID-19 pandemic has aroused greater attention about the impact of boredom on human psychology. A survey conducted in Italy showed that boredom ranks second among the most common negative emotions during quarantine. However, even before the pandemic, boredom was a common part of daily life.
How does this emotion impact people? Instead of ignoring it, how should one properly deal with it? Special scientific research on boredom is necessary to answer such questions. The ongoing research is relevant to everyone because managing boredom is a key part of modern life.
