Since the birth of the political parties of the political parties, the United Kingdom has been regarded as a typical example of a two-party state. In recent years, some scholars think that Britain is moving toward a multi-party system. Comparing the ten general elections since 1979, we can see that the pattern of mutual competition between the two major parties has not changed. From the number of seats, the number of effective parliamentary parties, the government’s cabinet building and the parliamentary power of the third largest party’s four major indicators of power point of view, by the Conservative Party and the Labor Party bipartite ruling coalition system is slowly changing, showing the characteristics of the dominant party system, Although this belongs to the typical bipartisan system, it is still a bipartisan system. Given the inability of the Labor Party and the Conservative Party to challenge the Third Parliamentary Party, the United Kingdom will still maintain the bipartisan system for the foreseeable future.
