美国儿童图书馆服务协会是美国图书馆协会的分支机构之一,致力于支持和发展少儿图书馆服务。目前该协会有四个主要的全国性项目,即“每个孩子准备在你的图书馆阅读”、“儿童节/读书节”、“阅读!构建!玩耍!”和“每日宣传”。此外,协会还会负责评估和挑选适合少年儿童阅读的纸质和非纸质图书馆资源,提供主题书单、优秀儿童网站等,指导阅读。然而,协会也在为资金不足、电子图书和数字媒体的入藏、电子书的评选等问题困扰,未来两年,将会更加注重多样性的发展,计划开展针对少儿看护人的信息素养项目,以更好地为少儿图书馆和少年儿童阅读服务。
The American Association of Children’s Library Services is one of the branches of the American Library Association, dedicated to supporting and developing children’s library services. There are currently four major national programs for the association, namely “Every child is ready to read in your library”, “Children’s Day / Reading Festival”, “Read! Build! Play!” And “Daily Propaganda”. In addition, the association will also be responsible for the assessment and selection of paper and non-paper library resources suitable for children to read, providing themed booklets, excellent children’s websites, etc. to guide reading. However, the Association is also plagued by problems such as insufficient funds, accession to electronic books and digital media, e-book selection and other issues. In the next two years, the association will pay more attention to the development of diversity and plan to carry out information literacy programs for children’s caregivers, To better serve children’s libraries and children’s reading.
